Mobility Scooters
We supply a wide range of mobility scooters suitable for a variety of uses so you are sure to find something to suit your needs perfectly. Here at London Mobility we will guide you through all the options available to you to ensure you are investing in the right mobility scooter for you that’s built to last. We stock scooters and powered wheelchairs from all the leading manufacturers, and if a certain make or model is not illustrated on our site we can almost certainly locate it for you.
Mobility scooters fall into two classes. In both cases there is no requirement for a licence, insurance, road tax or registration, although we do recommend taking out some sort of third party insurance in case of accidental damage. We can arrange this for you; just speak to a member of our team over the phone or at our London showroom.
Class 2 scooters
Class 2 scooters are not designed for road use and are primarily for use on pavements and other pedestrianized areas. This class of scooter has a maximum speed of 4mph. Models in this class vary greatly, from lightweight, fold-up scooters which have a range of around 10 miles, to heavier scooters which will run for 20-30 miles on a single battery charge.
Class 3 scooters
Class 3 scooters have maximum speed of 8mph for use on the road. These heavier-duty scooters come fitted with a full light kit and tend to have larger wheels, better seating, suspension all round and a much longer range – up to 45 miles per charge. Whereas Class 2 scooters will carry between 14 and 25 stone in weight, Class 3 scooters have a capacity of 25-35 stone.
Our mobility scooters are also available through Motability allowance, so to find out more contact our friendly team today!
